Program Objective
- To study the fundamentals of the science of nutrition about macro and micronutrients.
- To develop skills and confidence to make informed decisions about healthy diet in health and disease.
- To learn the composition and chemistry of different foods and changes that occur during the cooking/processing of foods.
- To apply the knowledge of food microbiology, sanitation, and hygiene in food production and service.
- To understand the working and management of the dietary departments of the various organizations.

After passing your twelfth class, a course in nutrition and dietetics can offer you an exciting career opportunity. A degree in Home Science or Hotel Management would take you to higher levels of knowledge regarding nutrition and dietetics. For a career, initially, this may be a low paying job.
