Facilities
The college is situated in the heart of the city. Apart from being the Orange City, Nagpur is now the natural choice and preferred destination by students from different parts of the country to pursue professional education. The city is home to globally renowned corporate houses in the IT sector. The distance to the college from the city railway station and Nagpur airport is 8 kms & 15 kms respectively. The college has an excellent infrastructure and accessibility from various parts of the city. The college has a well-designed administrative block and various other rooms and facilities for the students such as girls’ common room and waiting room, co-operative store etc. It has provided well equipped furnished labs for basic sciences separately and other departmental laboratories as per the norms of SNDT Women’s University. Each section of students has separate classrooms and facilities as per the norms of the SNDT Women’s University. Class rooms are well furnished and ventilated. Seminar Hall, is provided with all teaching aids, OHP, Slide Projector, LCD Projector, Video Camera, etc., in order to ensure overall development of students. The students have all the facilities for games and sports. Adequate infrastructure is provided for indoor and outdoor games and extra-curricular activities. A Nutrition Lab with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is also available in the college. The college building has made more provisions for the expansion. Umang Geetai College provides bus facility for students to commute from different parts of the city.
COLLEGE HOSTEL
Separate hostel facility is provided for Girls near the college area. It has adequate high security and good discipline. Each room has an attached bathroom. The students who are not staying with the parents shall reside in the college hostel as per college rules.

Hostel Fees
The hostel fees has to be paid every Year

1. Mess Rules:
a. Once a student joins the hostel she is deemed to become a member of
the mess until she vacates the hostel officially.
b. Food will not be served in rooms and residents are not allowed to take food to their rooms. If a resident is ill, the warden will make suitable arrangements.
c. Day scholars cannot be entertained as guests in the mess.
d. The Hostel Mess charges are payable regularly between 1st to 10th of every month,
failing which the resident will be charged a fine of Rs.100/-.
2. Leave Rules:
a. If the student wants to take a leave/night out she should fill the form three days in
advance and inform the Warden/Assistant Warden.
b. For leave to be taken on weekdays and in case of emergencies mentors’ signature is must. The local guardian should come to pick up the student from the hostel.
c. When students are going on a picnic from college, they have to submit college authority letter from HOD/Principal and no-objection certificate from the local guardian.
d. Maximum of 3 leaves can be taken by a student in a month. In case of emergencies it can be extended up to 6 days.
3. Code of Conduct:
a. Students should bring to the notice of the Warden any pending maintenance work (Civil, Carpentry, Electrical, and Sanitation) to be carried out in rooms, corridors, toilets or other areas in hostel premises.
b. In the hostel premises following are strictly prohibited. If found strict action will be taken and fine will be charged according to the punishment.
i) Smoking
ii) Consumption of alcoholic drinks/ drugs
iii) Gambling
iv) Intimidation or violence
v) Wilful damage to property
vi) Entering the hostel premises in intoxicated state
vii) Shouting and using abusive language in the room, hostel premises and campus
viii) Cooking in room
ix) Electrical appliances like iron box, hotplates, electric kettles will not be permitted
c. The resident of a room is responsible for any damage to the property in the room during her occupancy of that room and will be required to replace/repair at their own cost the damage, if any.
d. All residents of the hostels must report to hostel before 7.00 pm. fine will be charged for the late comers.
e. Hostel inmates must appear in the public rooms or dining hall decently dressed covering their full body (no night suits and night gowns)

Hostel Facilities :
The hostel has amenities like gym room, visitors’ room, warden office, guest room, and dining hall with mess.
a. Provision of Water Cooler with water purifier filters
b. The College has appointed a qualified doctor as Medical Officer for the hostel
c. If in the opinion of the hostel committee any resident requires Medical attention, College Medical Officer will be asked to attend to the resident. In case of emergency the Warden will take the student to the nearby Hospital and the payment has to be borne by the student.
d. Eligibility for Admission to the Hostel
f. Student studying in Umang Geetai College of Women’s Education will be eligible for admission in hostel.
g. Correspondence like address proof of residence Ration card, Telephone bill, Electric bill, etc. addresses of parents, 2 local guardians and two contacts telephone numbers. In case of changes of Address and phone number of parents or local guardians at any point of time has to be intimated to the hostel office in writing.
h. Photocopy of the “College Admission Fees” receipt
i. “Hostel Undertaking Form” duly signed by student and parents/local guardian
j. The student is required to submit authentic medical certificate.
k. Cast certificate, school leaving certificate, Mark sheet of previous exam.
TEACHING STAFF
This college has an excellent teaching faculty with highly qualified (Ph.D. and NET/SET) and well experienced staff. All teachers are full time and the students are given special attention in their studies. The excellent results in the university examination is due to dedicated, constant effort by staff. The teaching aids used by the staff are modern and helps the students to learn the subject thoroughly.
LIBRARY & INFORMATION CENTER
Access to information is a vital key in developing the individual’s potentiality. college has provided a central library consisting more than 1000 volumes of books and adequate number of journals. All the latest editions of books both for reference and text are available in this library. It also subscribes to various newspaper and periodicals for the information and update of their knowledge. The journals of both National and International, related to all subjects are also subscribed. The Library is computerized with all the features of library management system. The library also maintains e-books for students and it has the digital library facility for all the students with the internet connection. The library has the seating capacity of 50 students in its reading sections.
